The Trinity Strand Trail will connect the Katy Trail to the Trinity River Trail and everything in between.

Nestled between Stemmons Freeway and the banks of the Trinity River, just northwest of downtown Dallas, are the Dallas Design District and Old Trinity Industrial District.

Like other neighborhoods near downtown—Deep Ellum, Uptown, and East Dallas—this Trinity River area is being rediscovered by forward-thinking property owners, small businesses and new residents. Because of its prime location, this district is integral to Dallas' vision for a greenbelt area along the Trinity, an important but often overlooked natural resource.

This postcard (pictured above) depicts Dallas' long-ago love affair with walking trails and foot bridges in "Oak Lawn Park" (circa 1905).
