friends of the trail

The Friends of Trinity Strand Trail, a non-profit organization, came up with the concept of a trail that would take advantage of Old Meanders, a beautiful, but neglected resource; and tie commercial, residential, and recreational areas together with easy access to public transportation.

Since 2002, they raised over seven million dollars in public and private funds for the trail.

An additional 15 million dollars is required to complete construction of the trail over the next 10 years. There are many opportunities to get involved and support the effort through membership*, donations, sponsorships and volunteering.
