We can further restore our ecosystem by replanting some of the diverse species that once grew along the Trinity River. Some of the ecological restoration plans for the Trinity Strand Trail include:
- Restoration of the indigenous prairie grasses and wildflowers that long ago flourished along the original watercourse and wetlands.
- Positioning of trails to minimize human impact on plant and wildlife, while providing excellent nature viewing opportunities.
